At 16 years old I began waitressing for my first job at the same restaurant I currently work at - Leo's Coney Island (Westland, MI). The atmosphere and the community of customers is wholesome. Management/ cooks are top tier and I have great co-workers.
I waitressed throughout college (Mt. Pleasant, MI) and found myself going back to the restaurant industry, after a couple of endeavors (that I will briefly tell you about), at Ram's Horn (Westland, MI). The work ethic I have today is owed to my time spent as just a waitress at those three restaurants. I learned how to work in fast paced environments, developed strong customer service skills, and learned the importance of time management/ organization.
After college graduation in 2016, my college experiences led me to a Sales position at Powerplay Marketing (Farmington Hills, MI). I was hired by an alumni sorority sister, Stephanie. I earned bonuses/ worked hard for her and the CEO, Jeff, for three months. I left that company for un-foreseen circumstances.
A colleague I networked with, JJ, from my summer 2015 internship at pulse220 Events and Live Marketing Agency (Ferndale, MI), then took me in under Sales for his Graphic Design Company - Lakehouse Studios (Brighton, Franklin and Grand Rapids, MI). There I attended photoshoots and meetings with clients while working to increase business. JJ encouraged me to fulfill my desire/goal to move out of Michigan.

Although my dream was to graduate college and begin a new internship in LA for my sorority G-Big, Kaitlyn, I got a different opportunity to move across the country to a city outside of Dallas (Lewisville, TX) by 2017. My biggest role model/ sister, Mary, and I were in the que to start a business selling Lularoe’s clothing. We decided to stop investing money into it once things fell into place when I moved into my own apartment/ began my next chapter at The Little Gym of Flower Mound. I worked in a small team and shortly advanced as Program Director. The relationships I created with students ages 6 months-12 years old, their parents, my colleagues, and Natalie the owner are irreplaceable. The recreational program I was selling/ teaching instilled a love for learning and the knowledge of the importance of physical activity “across the board”. I was the healthiest I had ever been. I’m grateful to say it’s because of the people I was surrounded with.

I moved back to MI in late 2018 and a good friend of mine, Melissa, presented me with an opportunity at the Real Estate office she was working at - Keller Williams Realty (Plymouth, MI). I worked for a Broker, Mary Beth, who gave me freedom to demonstrate the professional I am as the Front Desk Office Assistant. I worked along side Melissa and Evia who were also young professionals that taught me everything I needed to know.
I value every co-worker I have had the pleasure of continuing my experience with. I may never have had a career in PR, but I lived out my office and recreational aspirations. These 'jobs' have shaped me into who I am today.
